Mike joined HallMark IP in 1999 having spent 8 years as Practice Manager in a Barristers' Chambers in the Inner Temple and, before that, 7 years in various sales & marketing and finance roles for a commercial stationery company.
 
He is the Group Financial Director and Company Secretary and a member of the Executive Committee responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm.

personal interests

Mike's interests are mainly sport related, being a keen spectator of cricket, football and rugby. He still plays cricket regularly to a reasonable standard. He is Treasurer of Chalfont St. Giles Cricket Club and a Committee member of Chesham United Youth Football Club.
 
Mike was a member of Chalfont St. Giles Parish Council for eleven years, and its Chairman between 2006 and 2010. In 2008 he was elected to Chiltern District Council for Chalfont St. Giles Ward and in 2010 was appointed to the Cabinet as Portfolio Holder for Finance and Resources.
 
Mike is also a Non-Executive Director of the Buckinghamshire Building Society and Chairman of the Audit, Compliance and Risk Committee.
