Having graduated from Brunel University, Andrew began his professional career in 1993 at Grant Spencer Caisley & Porteous under the tutelage of Adrian Spencer.
In 2000 Andrew joined Withers & Rogers as head of their London Trade Mark Department before establishing his own practice AJM Associates in 2002. In 2007 he joined forces with Mastrovito Associates and subsequently transferred his practice to Page White & Farrer in 2009 where he remained until joining HallMark IP in 2011.
Andrew successfully argued the widely reported High Court decision concerning the admission of further evidence on appeal in the case of Etat Francais representee par la Ministere de L'Agriculture de la Foret v Bernard Mattews Plc – LABEL ROUGE.
He was elected to the Council of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA) in 1999. During his two-year term on the Council he helped revise ITMA's educational programme.
Andrew is also a part-qualified UK Patent Attorney.
